There is always one person who brings Chaos Marines to a Tournament right? It wouldn't be right without some Chaos Marine player crying because his 300 point lord turned into a 30 point spawn on the bottom table turn 1. So yeah, that is why I'm here. Been playing Chaos 40K since I was 9 and competitively since I was 13, hopefully some good has come out of it!

The Martyr Vengeance Battery Review
I've stayed away from reviewing units for a while as my thoughts on certain units might not be that great. I'm not a top player by far, and I have certain ideas on how the CSM codex and it's counter parts should run and be used within games and it probably isn't a good view anyway. I do have this idea that I metaphorically hit you with a good idea once in a while and it ups your game then every one is happy, but your opponents become a little more sour. So to bring myself back to Reviews - probably best to call it a point of view review - let's start with a Vengeance... Battery.

Warpsmith Tactica: Picking it apart
With kick starting my blog and trying to keep up constant content I also decided to spread my warp way of where I post my blogs and have a peek into other people doing similar things. I did run into a chap who was going through all the Codex choices and going through a 'review' of the Warp Smith he did seem to miss the point and, to me, came off a little harsh on the guy. The problem I had with the review was that he was being compared to the Sorcerer and Chaos Lord respectively for different purposes. Obviously the Warpsmith gets smashed by both of these choices any day of the week because they have access, and better stats, to use the available armory equipment.

Rapier Weapon Carriers
Although it has not been long since my last post, I want to thank everyone for reading as it is the first one to hit 100+ views. So I'm glad to know that I am not spewing complete dribble all the time and people can read in between the dribble and see some good ideas emerge. A long time ago in a blog not so far away I wrote a rather long article about chaos 'gunline' options and what weapons you could bring to them. All in all it was a post about how shit we are in the shooting phase bar the heldrake because whats better than a model GW had to specifically nerf in an FAQ because it did too well to be kept in a Chaos Codex. Anyway guns.

New Competitive list!
Pulling out the miniatures from under my bed and blowing the layers of dust off them I gave in to contemplation. Dam it! For a while I have been relaxing with 40K, not really playing much and my head hasn't been in the competitive game and honestly I think it's done me good. If you are a standard chaos player; buy dex, build awesome list, paint it up all nice like, go to club, get wrecked by a scrub lord who charges you with Fire Warriors, go home, cry, hate codex.
Ok, its not exactly that scenario but many of us have felt the pains of chaos. Thanks for the Spawn... Abaddon needed that...

Hebrute Murderpack Tactics
So, with jumping back into the spirit of Chaos Marines needing some firepower I very unwittingly asked Tom if 5 griffons were a worth while investment. As you can guess he came out all yoda like and asked me what is it you want it to achieve, which I could not answer. Dam it tom and your knowledge of playing competitively properly! He gave me some advice about how to build a bit more tournament worthy way and these are some similar ideas that I have come up with.
Disclaimer, once again these are not "Bombs" or OP stars, unless you find something awesome I seem to have over looked.

Bell of Lost Souls sit down, Renegades do it better
It has been a while since I have posted on here, my apologies for this I just have been 'out-of-it' for a while and become a tad rusty with my 40K. Basically, not had time to play, read or chat with many people but a post about BOLS on Allies of Convenience got my pointy marines mojo going again so here we go! P.S go easy on me!

Chaos Rumours on the horizon: Does AI13 Drop any hints?
Just today, I have read up on rumour blogs about Chaos Space Marines receiving a new Chaos Marines faction that is perhaps in the works. Seen as though Chaos is like my thing, I thought I would share my thoughts with you on what I think/ guess they could be, if they will exist at all. Please note, take the salt by the bucket load: This is all just theories for now.

Land Raider Proteus: OAP Raider need new home
Been chilling around lately, reading up on my Forge World stuffs to bring you guys some better reviews as some feedback I received about the Sicaran said I could of been a little more detailed. So here we go, The Land Raider Proteus, the eldest and oldest of all the Land Raiders, even before the Raider we all loath and hate that sits in our own codex, so on to the alternatives!

Sicaran Battle Tank: The sexy looking one
Hello everyone, sat here in my work uniform with my laptop on my knee, which is really really hot by the way at 00:18 AM time according to my clocks, so that means its the best time to start talking about the Sexy looking Sicaran Battle Tank surely?
Update: It's all Chaos from here on out! Infernus Predator sham!
Greetings gamers! I have decided after much thought and deliberation, so perhaps 2 minutes, that I am moving everything to do with gaming to my new blog: The Innocent Ramblings Of A Youtube Gamer. This blog will be 100% dedicated to Warhammer 40,000 subjects from now on.

Gaming Booth Reviews: Space Marine
Greetings gamers, I am taking some time out of blogging about 40K as this is also a gaming blog, so you would expect me to talk about some games at some point. So I thought I would start off at the middle ground by reviewing a game that is also 40K.

Gold NC-Acrylic Professional Spray Paint VS Liquitex Professional Spay Paint Review
Lately, I have been hammering into my You Tube Channel getting everything updated and all the information to a better quality because man does it stink when you don't know how to do all the Tagging stuff properly. So I have been having my head in You Tube fixing land lately. I also have been recording some Alien Isolation game play, so be sure to check that out! Now to spray paints.

Pets at Home: Cute Animals and Terrain Pieces
Whilst out shopping, me and my girlfriend popped into Pets at Home to have a look at all the fluffy animals. They were all very, very cute. However, around the Aquarium section of the store these little beauties caught my eye. If you want some form of monument for your brand new Blood Thirster then look no further a mere £12 can get you these;

The Tyranid Swarms VS Chaotic Artillery: 1850 Battle Report at Dice and Daggers
Lately I have been having a good old sort of all my Warhammer, at the moment I am selling my Tyranids off because I want to focus on my Chaos Marines and I have many many things I need to buy for them to get my list 100% and not all Proxy. I also started bidding on ebay for some Chimera's, which I luckily won the bid to for a nice deal. They will hopefully be getting here within a few days time. However, Bat Rep Time!

How To: Chaos Space Marine Tactics, Threat Bubbles and Pushing Up the Board
Lately I have been working on tactics with my Chaos Space Marines army, and I would like to share the basics with anyone interested in this type of game play. This tactic is based around UK meta and how Chaos Marines work, so this may vary for other countries depending on what you face.

Chaos Renegade Arillery Converstion: Quad mortars complete!
Taking a small break from posting bat reps and playing games I have decided to try and get my army look more like it holds official models and not Proxies on everything. I also have decided what is going to be changed in my army list concerning my troops choices to be more effective in the field, hopefully they will bear fruit to my hard work and many victories will arise. Also before I get in depth about my Artillery I am happy to announce that I am going to restart and revamp my You tube Warhammer videos concentrating on Chaos Space Marines in the UK and how they hold up against other lists. But for now, lets look at some very nice models.

How to Chaos Better: Chaos Spawn VS Thunder Cav 1850 points battle report at Dice and Daggers
Since the battle which from now on I shall refer to as the "Serpent Spam incident" I mulled over my units and decided I needed to make some drastic list changes. So I put the Helblades to rest concluding that they are paper cannons (Can do a lot of damage, but die if someone sneezes on them) and replaced them with an extra unit of 5 Nurgle Spawn. I also decided to mount my warlord sorcerer on a bike to allow more maneuverability. Looking back on my previous game the spawn did really well considering I didn't know what the Wraith Guard weapons did, but you live on and learn.
This game has considerable alterations in how I worked my army and what tactics I used, especially playing Thunder Cav, drop pod space wolfs for the first time in 7th edition. This was a good game.

How not to Chaos: Chaos Fail Marines VS Serpent Spam Battle Report 1850 pts at Dice and Daggers
Lately, I have been taking a break from the computer driven games and gone into overdrive on my Warhammer craze. This week I bring you a short battle report of my 'currently under construction' Army against a tournament standard Serpent Spam list at 1850 points. Being my first time at the Dice and Daggers gaming club, I hoped that this game would be memorable and enjoyable for both me and my opponent and I can say it was definitely both for reasons you would not think.

Building Minatures: Fire Raptor
Pick up day, it was a really big box.. Home Base would be jealous |
Getting new model is always a momentous occasion for me, whether it is a single mighty character or a Large unit of troops I always want to enjoy every aspect of bringing the model to life. As a competitive gamer you will be surprised to know that I actually base all my army building decisions on the fluff and books I have with me. Recently, I have been rubbing my face, not so literally, in Iron Warriors and I have to say that I have picked up my campsite from the boring Black Legion (especially after there Supplement book) and sat myself back down on the Iron Warrior side of things. They have the right idea in my opinion, hit it with artillery! And, with my recent present of Imperial Armour 13, say hi to some Chaotic Artillery, but they are for later.
I also, ever since they appeared in 6th edition, have been a fan of Flyers and all the damage, or lack of, they do. Heldrakes, Vendettas, Valkyries, Storm Eagles, Storm Talons and all the others. I love them all! So at Christmas I got a Fire Raptor Gunship, and have been spending a good long time building it and painting it, and here is how I got on...
