There is always one person who brings Chaos Marines to a Tournament right? It wouldn't be right without some Chaos Marine player crying because his 300 point lord turned into a 30 point spawn on the bottom table turn 1. So yeah, that is why I'm here. Been playing Chaos 40K since I was 9 and competitively since I was 13, hopefully some good has come out of it!

We Are Legion! Black Legion Supplement thoughts
Its been just over a week after the Traitor Legions Supplement has dropped and I have had time to mull over the changes and extras inside the book. I would like to give my thoughts on each of the legions through several posts and the new units available to Chaos Space Marines from a competitive perspective. Each supplement offers extra special rules and changes that improve current list builds and hopefully creates a few new ones. I am being optimistic here, so it probably will not last long.

Traitors Hate: Cult of Destruction
The Cult of Destruction come in at minimum points cost at 275 points with 1 Warpsmith and 3 single Mutilators and Maxes at 1,380 points with 3 Warpsmiths and 15 Oblitorators (no marks). So can be either really cheap or really expensive, lets get into it.

Moving on & looking ahead
I've been trying to stay off this subject for quiet some time because A: I didn't want to talk about it, and B: I didn't see a reason to talk about it. Lately, however, this subject has affected me and has put me off doing write ups of my games and list at the UK GT Heat 5 in Stockport. An event which I was really excited to go to as it was my first ETC event.
Anyway, I left a Chaos Space Marine group called "Favoured of Chaos" until a few weeks after the tournament because of the conflict between myself and some of the Admin and group members.
Basically, in every game I fished for Invisibility first as that was the most important power to keep me on the board. In 3 games I missed getting invisibility as a power and in them 3 games I was tabled, after making a remark on the group somewhere along the lines of "Rolled 9 times on telepathy, not one invis, roll on next psychic tree gets a 5." Some replies were understanding and humorous 'that's pretty shit, GG' or 'Ebay's good to sell your stuff' and some definitely were not.

Traitors Hate - Helforged Warpack Review/First Thoughts
Moving on from the Core choices of the Black Crusade detachment and I have decided to roll through them in the order they appear in the book. Simple way to keep me in line of the stuff I like and makes me write about the stuff I don't. So let's jump to it.

Traitors Hate: The Lost and the Damned 'A Tide of Traitors'
After completing the lost and the damned reviews one of my good 40K gaming mates who is a lot better than me, like ETC level better, told me I was a bit too lenient with the Warband Formation. I will admit that there is a small soft spot for it as it is finally a formation that has semi competent and decent marines in it with rules that can help it win games, however from now on I will try to be a bit more 'nitty gritty' with these reviews as some of the formations can be laughable. So Lost and the Damned, GO!

Traitors Hate: Chaos Warband Part 2
I'm going to try and write some this stuff up earlier during the daytime as recently I have been typing away all night into early morning, and that just doesn't do the blog well and doesn't do my sleeping pattern any good. So far we have established that the Lord and Sorcerer both benefit largely from this formation and that Terminators and Chosen are at an equal standing of 'which one do I prefer' with possessed being forgotten about and standard marines being the tax of the formation. So, onto the next blocks of units available Raptors, Talons and Bikes and Havocs and Helbrutes.

Traitors Return: Traitors Hate - Black Crusade Detachment Review
Well guys, I finally found out where this blog went and how log back onto it! Thank the 4 Gods of Chaos! My last post, which will be linked below, I introduced that I would be looking into Traitors Hate and all the good it does for the standard Codex.
I don't know how to slide into this elegantly, so first up: Black Crusade Detachment Overall look & the Chaos Warband.

Been busy, sneak peek!
Starting 2016 I have been very busy, between battling being ill and planning a wedding I have gotten out of sync with my posts. Recently I have bought myself some army upgrades and I have converted some pieces too.
Also, I am working on my 'none-forgeworld' competitive list as many tournaments don't allow them, which does suck for me, but I need to adapt to the field. One of the fellows down at Dice and Daggers is wanting to start out playing in tournaments too, so this list should be good practice for both of us.
This it what I've come up with:
